Dedicated to Peace
It's so very important to me personally, and to Anonymous as a whole, that I make it exceedingly clear that Anonymous is in no way a violent organization - we do not advocate violence, we do not encourage violence of any kind, and furthermore, we strictly and vehemently oppose violence. To be misunderstood on this point is heart-breaking.
The first and foremost reason Anonymous has taken up this fight is because we have witnessed countless individuals who have been the victims of violence, both mentally and emotionally. We believe that the Church of Scientology has violently oppressed, manipulated, even physically and emotionally harmed the people who trusted them most. The leaders of that organization have torn families apart, denied seriously ill people access to medical care, forcibly and irreparably ripped apart peoples' lives. Those acts have been so violent and so malicious that we could not stand by and watch this happen to friends, to family, and to perfect strangers.
If we are so opposed to these acts of violence, if it has done so much to our souls that we stand up and risk our own safety to defend these victims, how could we ever condone or promote such violence ourselves? It is anathema to us, it is contrary to who we are and what we stand for.
I am completely dedicated to peace. Everyone I know within Anonymous is dedicated to peace. We are committing our hearts, might, and minds to fighting Scientology within our own ethical values, within the mroals of this society, and within the law.
Any action contrary to this ardent belief is not - nor will it ever be - condoned by us. If, however, despite our best intentions, such actions take place within our ranks, we will do everything in our power to stop it and bring those individuals responsible to the attention of law enforcement officials.
Peace is in our hearts, and it is peace we are trying to defend and uphold.
